1) A Business Partner needed for a young technology company developing software for mobile marketing activities and campaigns is looking for business, management and marketing expertise to complement the founders’ technical background in order to establish itself in the market.

2) A company which has developed energy management solutions to reduce the energy and operating costs of running commercial buildings is looking for NEDs, a Finance Director and Sales Director to join its team.  The positions can be based remotely, but successful candidates will need to be able to visit the office in Livingston on occasion.  Equity is available.

3) A real-time sports news service seeks a sports loving, media savvy, start-up Business Mentor for guidance and more.  Expertise in social media, market research or fantasy gaming all relevant for future relationship.  You can’t buy love, so unpaid initially but with the potential for future incentives when the company grows.  The role is based remotely.

4) A high-tech university spin-out based in Livingston, which specialises in a novel laser-based manufacturing technique is looking to expand its management team and board.    The company designs and manufactures photonic components for communications, and optical sensor components for defense, engineering and biomedical applications.  Desirable skills include experience in fundraising, scaling a manufacturing orientated business and strategic marketing.  Incentive packages are negotiable depending on the individuals.  Potential for the roles to be based remotely.

5) A carbon management company, which helps organisations to measure, manage and reduce their carbon emissions, is looking for senior business development associates with contacts within large organisations in public and private sectors to work on a commission basis.  The role is to help the company with business development and bring in new clients.  Associates will be offered a commission project-by-project basis.

6) An exciting SE PoC project which develops products for the orthopaedics market is looking for a Commercial Champion / Partner and CEO to offer guidance and help with a spin-out business and joint development opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a strongfinancial/fundraising background and contacts and expertise in the Biomedical Devices industry.  This high-growth Orthopaedic company is based in Edinburgh; incentive packages are negotiable for suitable candidates.
